akdrv, what is the coin or is it a medal? I would like one myself. Very beautiful design with such a high relief, Spanish, French ............?
Robin my dear - are you sure you wouldn't prefer a 1992 Cook Islands dollar? It wouldn't be right for me to post a porn picture here, but if you're over 18, go ahead and check it out. (The hat is on the picture, not the coin. )
It's a thaler from German city of Frankfurt. The same design is available in 1 and 2 thaler denominations. These coins are fairly common. There are a few variations of 1 thaler design.
LOL Roy...Granted, my preference does go in that direction but since I'm playing with the boys here and he asked about a chick I had to adjust my answer a bit. The Cook Islands coin does crack me up...however the Italian 50 Lira sure looks yummy
KLJ: Susie B. She's a hottie! Mrs. KLJ: K----, what have I told you about drinking while you're looking at coins?! KLJ: I'm not drinking! (Hic) That empty case of beer belongs to somebody else!
Goosen, she's a cutie. Can you give me some details about that coin. It's for a friend of course Cdb1950, what do you think about Goosen's chick?
Andy, you can tell your "friend" it's a 25 Roubles coin from Russia, Y #764. Zodiac signs series. This one is in gold but it's also avaiable in silver.
Goosen. Russian gals are beautiful. I married one in New York that I met in front of Trump Tower. My wife might not be on a coin but she will always be the glimmer in my eye. I looked up the coin and thanks for the quick reference number and now I see that she was minted again as a 50 ruble in 2003. Beautiful coin from a harsh land. When I was over there, a long time ago, and standing outside of KGB headquarters what I remembered the most besides the screaming from the cells facing the street was being cold, very cold. My wife was around 10 then so it was a good thing that we didn't meet then. My friend is very much interested in the coin but one pretty Russian women in the house is enough to keep me, um, my friend happy Thanks for sharing that. Maybe after Putin, Russia like it's cousin Ukraine could also become a democracy. Then the coins will only get more desirable.
She's not exactly on a coin, but she is the Artistic form for which we all have our favorites. She is numismatic though ...........oh and thats her on the left....................LOL ....................Texas what a place!
Not a chick, but what a looker! Woof, woof, Winston Churchill.... I could stare at you all day (stars in my eyes)...
The "Washlady" dollar considered today to be one of the most beautiful designs ever made by the US Mint. At that time, however, the design was not well received as, apparently, Liberty's hair and the way it was tied back was considered to be disheveled. The Washlady name dates back to the April 1891 New York Coin and Stamp auction of the F.W. Doughty collection and was probably given by David Proskey. This design is R-6 in both silver and copper J1604/P1799 with between 12 to 15 believed to exist. A single example in white metal J1604A/P1800 ex Kaufman is also known. The illustrated example is believed to be the finest known in silver and is courtesy of Jay Parrino's The Mint LLC.
