Many of you may have seen this coin before, as I was able to procure this very nice Denarius from our fellow member Mat, and I wanted to show it off. It is in the best condition of any of hers I own. Faustina II AR Denarius OBV: FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, Diademed and draped bust right REV: SAECVLI FELICIT, throne (Pulvinar) upon which sits Commodus and Antoninus Struck at Rome, 161-175 AD 3.22g, 17mm RIC 711 (Aurelius) RSC 190
Nice coin, buddy!! => awwww, look at the lil' Roman Rulers (I just wanna pick 'em up and pinch their lil' cheeks, *pinch*)
that is a very cool coin, the kids on the throne are great...and the letters of the legend are very bold.
I have been back a few times to see this coin, anyone notice that it looks like the two rulers on the reverse are seated giving eachother a "high five?"
ummm ... yah, and there is also a wee bit of wierd "groin-level stuff" goin' on ... ... yah, I just kinda wanna move-on to the next coin ... thanks ... just jokes great coin!!
