I found a 5$ Star note serial number BB 00089487 * IN CHANGE TODAY. Do you think it is worth more than face?
you won't get much for it. Low serial numbers that start with 0000 are the lowest in demand... 00000 in great demand and one or two digits are in high demand.
Hey tdec, I'm assuming your note is a 1999 series? Print run for stars are 3,200,000 per run. Your note is from district 2, New York. This particular note is from run 1. BB 000 00001 * - BB 032 00000 * fw 3,200,000 1 BB 032 00001 * - BB 038 40000 * fw 640,000 2 There were only 2 runs of stars printed for this district. So you have one of 3,840,000. I would hold on to it. Unless you want to sell, these seem to go for around $30 in crisp uncirculated condition. If worn you might get $7-$10 for it. Michael
sorry... i seemed to overlook the fact that it was a star... Like Aiden said... it really depends on the value. I myself would hold onto it unless you're in desperate need of quick cash
I already spent it. It was in poor condition. If had some major wear on it. If it was crisp I would have kept it. Thanks for all the information you give me here. Tom
i have a $1 star note that ends in 4504 and all the digits in front of (4504) are 0. would it have any value if it isn't in crisp condition?
