I've had this dime for about 10 years, and I'm curious to know more about it. What type of error is this? and what is a dime with this "error" worth???? image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

It's not an error. It's post mint damage.
It has reeding so it can't be a broadstrike. A die cap wouldn't have fully struck details on both sides.

Ok? So what exactly does post mint mean? Someone damaged it?

Yep, the coin was damaged after it was struck. It wasn't struck like this.

Try putting it up on Ebay. There's no telling what you might get there. Just don't call it a mint error.

Even that's not technically wrong, it's deceptive advertising:eek: . Unless it's clearly labeled as post mint damage of course.

"This is not a mint error" is deceptive advertising? Really?

In your earlier post you were saying "Just don't call it a mint error". You did not say to clearly label it as after mint damage. If it is not labeled right a noob could be deceived.
