You will probably be both happy & sad about the transaction, but, whenever you think that you may have made a mistake, look at the draped bust 1/2 cent!!!!
    Good move.

Ah, nice! Which 1806 half cent is it? There are four varieties for that year, unless my memory fails. One large 6, and three small 6. The large 6 is common, the smalls are varying degrees of slightly-to-ridiculously-less-common. Heck, and there are even some decently uncommon die states for the more common varieties.

Pics pics pics pics pics! Good, high-res ones if you can manage.

    Fish,
I think there are only three, small 6 stems , small 6, stemless , and large 6 stems mine is small 6 but I have not found a picture of the stems and stemless to compare it with coinfacts and the red book don't have it either do you know where I can get a picture of the two kinds side by side ?

    Bruce, My Frank Brother,

There are actually 4 Cohen Varieties! Below are the Varieties and the links to the pictures on Coinfacts:

    Cohen 1 - Plain 6, Stemless - Very Common - http://www.coinfacts.com/half_cents/1806_half_cents/1806_half_cent_c01.htm

    Cohen 2 - Small 6, Stems - Very Scarce - http://www.coinfacts.com/half_cents/1806_half_cents/1806_half_cent_c02.htm

    Cohen 3 - Small 6, Stems - Very Rare - http://www.coinfacts.com/half_cents/1806_half_cents/1806_half_cent_c03.htm

    Cohen 4 - Very Common (Large 6, Stems) - http://www.coinfacts.com/half_cents/1806_half_cents/1806_half_cent_c04.htm

I am hoping for you, that you have the Cohen 3!
