Last night i accidentaly ordered a album on ebay thinking i was going threw paypal (the seller dosent accept paypal) when actualy i was using propay? which looks realy close to pay pal late at night. my problem is the guy wont cancel the order ive explained to him that im jobless at the moment and the only money i have was a pay pal gift refund. but he still keeps saying he will ship when he recieves payment. im not sure what to do in this situtation. Several sellers are dropping that service for that reason. No need to set up an account at Propay to use it. Call eBay and they can cancel the transaction. They will probably ask you to open a non-delivery claim so you can send this email correspondence to them. It should be an easy task that way.
what hapens if i dont cancel it and is there away to talk to ebay without calling i hate to talk on phone
This seller has no concept of customer service. In addition, I wonder what the "current policy" is that he's referring too, and what is the security issue with PayPal?
Yeah, you need to call the number. I know it is often a pain to have to talk to someone, but often that is the best way to get things resolved. Good luck
Just call the number. It is the easiest way to explain what is going on, it improves your people communication skills, and it is just a minor inconvenience for an easy way to solve the issue.
The seller is right and wrong. They're right that you made the purchase. They're wrong that they can't cancel. eBay has actually made it EASIER for sellers to cancel transactions. Now, rather than having to petition to get your final value fees refunded, they're automatically credited once the buyer agrees to cancel the transaction. That said, the seller has a right to file a non-paying bidder complaint against you. If that happens, just call eBay. For your phone-phobia, too bad. Unless you know someone who works for eBay (and have their personal email), your only solution is likely the phone.
I know i was in the wrong for not makeing sure it said pay pal instead of propay which ive never hearld of. I guess i will have to call theres no refund since i didnt pay

I thought that you had to accept pay-pal as a payment option if you were going to sell stuff on e-bay.
I thought so to, but there were some changes in policy that went into affect July 1st. I'm not familiar with them all, but perhaps someone can enlighten us.
so i got busy and forgot about this intill today when i got an email about the seller opening a case i immeditly had ebay call me. support guy understood what had happened nd he was able to read the messeges and how the seller was acting and note beign helpful. he also didnt know what the seller was talking about in regards to the cancel policy. The case will close on the 19th and i will get a strike but the strike will be removed and my account not suspended. He also seen all my transactions and how this is the first time this has happened ect. He was very helpful. thank you for all your help on this matter. also on the ebay site it mentions talking on the phone or online to suport but i didnt see the option to do it online so i had ebay call me. which they did in less then 3 minutes
