I actually ordered some more last night so must have just gotten under the gun. And to think that a lot of people talked about cancelling their ASE 20th anniversary set orders because the Mint decided to sell the W uncs separately. I wonder just how many people actually cancelled their orders? My guess it that if they did, they soon realized their mistake and reordered!
What mistake is it? If they don't want 3 coins for one, then there is no mistake. ANd if they want to get the 3 piece set now, they can forget about it because its been closed for weeks. You guys make this sould like the horse racing. Ruben
All I am saying is that some thought that by selling the Uncs separately, the Mint was ruining the ASE set's collectability. Now, it appears that the Uncs will be the lowest mintage so far of the Uncs. And the ASE set has turned out to be a great bargain so far for the money. If someone cancelled their ASE set because they were upset with the Mint selling the Uncs separately, it is my opinion that they made a mistake. We can agree to diagree.
Or disagree I just read on another thread that there may only be around 500K of the W-Uncs minted. That will be the lowest mintage so far and I would assume ASE collectors will keep the demand for this coin high. So far the 1996 SE has been the key for the Uncs. Now this coin has replaced it in my opinion. Not sure how many people collect the SEs, but this one is a keeper.
My shipping date is 13-06 but my order number is 23738xxx so I think I can kiss these puppies good by.
If you have an order number, shipping date, and have paid for the coins, doesn't that mean you will receive them?
HAVE THE ORDER NUMBER AND SHIPPING DATE BUT I THINK THEY WILL ONLY TAKE MY MONEY AFTER THEY SHIP THE COINS I THINK. BRUCE.
Bruce my order number is further down the line than yours. The mint chick took my order with no problems, My order was on a friday afternoon and as far as i know they took orders past that day possibly all the way through sunday I do expect to get mine but this is the mint and yes they are only suppose to take your money if they are going to ship within 24 hours or at least that is what i have been told but then again this is the mint. Have read that the mintage may be around 470k also

2006 W-Plats ND86 - Now that you have amazingly predicted the date of sellout on the Silver W's, what do you believe will be the date on the 2006-W Uncirculated Legislative Platinums? Miles

Internal packaging Not only the U.S. Mint has problems, but many others around the world. Returns also has impact on what you pay for your mechandise . They shoot for a gross profit and control aspects of the floor operation that hampers it. Internal packaging is a plague with coins. Indivudals who sell to each other take more time and use low tech remedies. Covering coins that are encapsulated with thin pop sheet can keep coins from moving in any direction as long as they have good outside support. Packaging is way cheaper then dealing with returns. Next to raw labor and insurance, most business find returns to be the back breaker. Many businesses profit is centered around prepaid freight, and a 2% discount for early ten day pay. If they can make coins they should be able to put together an in house packaging system that works. If not they should out source the design and pay to get returns for defective merchandise as close to zero as possible.
$90 !!!!!! All those bids!!!! People must want to hurry and get those so they can send them to NGC and qualify for "First Strike" labels!
Hey NGC will not use "First Strikes" after this year. is called lets see, i can not find it , hold a minute please (soft elevator music in the back ground) thanks for waiting. will be called ...... ''EARLY RELEASE(S)". .... that suppose to be so much better and far more accurate account of what is going on. yea right LoL. Have these people gone insane. what about my poor buffalo first strike what am i suppose to do with him . Maybe i could send it to ngc and get them to put the new slab on it. not sure what color it will be yet.
I feel there is something your trying to say here which is worth understanding, but I just don't get it. Is the dating a problem because of packaging or returns or both? And what exactly is the nature of the problem? Ruben
