I have a pretty large collection of U.S currency but have decided to focus on just coins now since I haven't really done any paper in over 10 years. My question since I have never sold so much at one time should I got to ebay, sell each on separate? most came from family so I have no starting value on them and none are graded. collection includes 3 consecutive $1 north afircans, a few 1,5,10,20 north African and Hawii notes, Funny backs etc

Before you got to the bay, I'd like to know what you have. I might be interested in some of the notes you have. Send me a message.

sorry guys my mother fell ill and I have not been on here in awhile. what would you like to see pictures of ? I have 3 consecutive north $1 notes in great conditionn, north African notes in 1,5 10, Hawaii notes in 1,5,10,20. I have funny backs,Bar notes, silver certificates etc its a 60-70 bill collection. My question should I break it up or sell it as a lot?

I personally believe that It would be easier to break up. ( Leave the consecuative notes as a group of course!) Could I see the $1 North Africa notes as well as the Hawaii ones? Thanks!

Groups that big don't seem to realize as much as the notes do individually. This is due, in part, to the fact that there are less people out there with enough money available at any given moment to make a fair offer on a large, diverse lot.

Individual sale, or selling small groups will take more effort but I think the reward will be greater.

I know I'd probably like to get a few myself :)

You would be better off doing a bit of background learning on what you have, how much they are going for and adjusting for selling. As your first selling venue I would suggest the BST on this board - no fees, and knowledgeable and honest collectors. I would reserve eBay as a last resort, think of all the fees, fools and otherwise.

I will add to this I have heard recently from several dealers that the "currency market" is basicly rock bottom at the moment you might want to hold off a bit before selling.
Not my area of expertise just letting you know what I have heard recently (last few months)

I'd suggest going to the library and checking out their paper money books - look under their classification 769 which is for paper collectables. Get a current blackbook, ie 2012 or 2013 to get a rough guesstimate of the prices on your items. NA notes are very very cool.
