They probably could/should have, but didn't want to be that accommodating.

LOL! I read that this morning. Too late to catch a break.......

  5. This may lead to increased cancellations of the still undelivered WP sets. Too many of these reached the hands of the big dealers and TPGs before the collectors, so I am not seeing much long term value in these any more. TC

Good news for silver collectors! :)
How low does gold have to go before they lower prices?

I'm hoping to get an MS70/PF70 NGC graded set for $100...in a year or two. ;)

Well, even if the Mint had lowered the price a couple weeks ago, it would have only lowered the price of the 2-coin 2013-W ASE set $10 ($5/coin) based on how much Proof and Unc ASE coins were lowered. It's not that much to bemoan when you're already forking over $70 an ounce for those coin while spot silver prices are significantly less and when these products are priced even higher than the other similar Proof and Unc versions. The Mint will always come out way ahead.

If it's that concerning, then remember it's never to late to stop buying from the U.S. Mint.

You can also reverse calling yourself names and being openly submissive to the financial benefit of the Mint. It's never too late to throw off the perception that buying from them is akin to collecting, or that what you buy from them are actually rare.

But it's what I enjoy. I know I could wait out stuff for the aftermarket (sometimes) melt down but I don't want to. There's a certain enjoyment that I derive in purchasing from the mint, one being the satisfaction that the product I purchased hasn't been pawed over by other individuals. Some folks gots to have their vices......fast cars, fancy wines, single barrel hootch.......the mint is my vice. :)

Wait a minute now... I think you got more than one of those vices covered, seems you're into the hooch as well as the Mint.

Don't you just love it when a surprise package arrives in the mail and you can tell your wife it's because you were over medicated? :>)

greenie, I may not have your obsession with U. S. Mint products, but I can easily understand what you are saying. As the CoinGeezer used to say, "De gustibus non est disputantum" or "There is no need to defend your personal preferences."

I think having something to look forward to is a very good thing.
