Just went out to Vegas for the first time, so I had to stop by Pawn Stars Shop. I love the show and yes, I overpaid. I got a coin from the Pawn Shop and that's what I wanted. Got a 1885-O MS64 Morgan, and a 1oz Silver Round slabbed by NGC signed by the Old Man. Picture came free with the purchase of the Old Man Round. They told me it was limited to 1,000. Also my first graded Morgan I'm keeping!
If I had a nickel for every time I bought a nickel... Hey Tom, you got a little something on your face...It's not a tumor. Ahh, to be 23 years old again..full of life and luster. Bummer rim nick and carbon spot. That's ok, you're still alright in my book. What a bunch of Non-Cents! Whatever Frankie, I'm still not a fan...but maybe someday. Sup Booker?
I've been on a proof kick here lately too, odd?!? I also have a pretty large 'newest acquisition' that I'm pretty excited about. I'll post some photos in just a little bit.
Ok here it is. I've been expecting this for a little while now but this is the first time I've had my hands on it and had the chance to inspect it. It's a fairly complete Silver Washington quarter set up to 1964. Pretty sure all of the real key dates are here. Couple nice toners All are high grade except for the keys and they are upper mid-grade coins. First thing I did was bleach the NGC boxes and wiped all the slabs down too. There was a slight musty smell and I wanted to sterilize everything for safety issues. They've just been sorted and fixing to be organized back into their boxes. As I come across nice coins ill snap some photos for you guys. That pink toner is beautiful.
