found some lincoln errors

    searching through a bag of wheaties I found these two

    first 1943, second a very close mint mark P1010003 (2).JPG P1010004 (2).JPG

    I'm not seeing any error on either coin. The mint mark on the 56-D is withing mint tolerances.

    You didn't say what is wrong with the 43 cent . the only thing I see is that it may have been plated with copper , the 43 cents were steel . the one with the close mintmark is normal . back then the mintmarks were put on the die by hand and they can appear in different locations.

    1943: plated outside the mint. PMD.
    1956D: Within mint tolerance in terms of location.

    Ok, so your telling me, I should not have called my boss and quit my job because I found two rare coins.
