    how much would a 1951 candian cent go for?

    Like all the other coins you have asked about, it depends on condition.

    That said, Charlton's 2006 edition says $1 EF-AU, $2 MS60 brown, $15 MS63 red-brown, $70 MS64 red, and $250 MS65 brown (sic!). All values are in Canadian dollars, ~86.5¢ US.

    No varieties are listed for that year. Mintage is listed as 80,430,379, the highest year for that 1948-52 coin.

    Roy,there are actually 3 types of Canadian 5c. coins that were issued in 1951 - the commemorative,plus 2 obverse varieties (High & Low relief).

    They are actually refering to the one cent and satootoko is correct about the varities

    Defiant7,you're right,about them referring to the 1c. coin.I've been feeling a bit tired today,as I've been up late every night since I bought my new computer exactly a fortnight ago.
