i think this coin is depicting a multi-headed shiva (looks like he has crazy early 60's lady hair thing going on).
here is a modern reproduction of an ancient statue (along with the whole partheon) in nashville TN, i guess this thing is huge (nike is 6 ft tall)...anyone seen this?
Great example! Very few of us have shown actual statues that appeared on coins but there were several coin poses copied from famous statues like this Antioch. Mine is the same statue but a different angle.
