1941 penny that looks like it was struck a few times with the word liberty

    this sounds like it may be a altered coin , I can not see this in the photo

    You mention that LIBERTY is the area of focus, yet you provide a picture taken at an angle of Lincoln's face and the date.
    I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

    I think he sees the word LIBERTY in the fields of his picture, I can't see it though.

    very hard to see but above the date i can see where the t and the y are pritty good on the coin with a 30x glass. not real bold , But I think thats what i see.. I will ty to post another pic..

    Your coin looks to have quite a bit of lamination on it. This may be what you are seeing but a better photo may help.

    I don't see anything unusual on the coin. I'd say what you are seeing is most likely coincidental damage.

    I think Rascal called it, it looks like a lamination.
