    Well, the danged thing is worn enough so that a host of folks must have felt it was the real deal.

    I think it's most likely authentic, but be careful on bidding. That gouge on the obverse knocks the value down considerably. Save your money, and buy a nicer example.

    I dont think most would be it easier on a circulated coin to hide the tooling and adjusting effects
