    Hey all,

I've been away for awhile. One, I made some pretty big purchases (big for me anyway) and have just kind of been recouping from them. They were a 25th anniversary set and a trade dollar, both of which I had wanted for some time. Second, I've had a recent setback in my life, while I always keep things in perspective, not having cancer, not being jailed, or being kicked out of school...what did occur hurt a lot and was a big setback for me so I've kind of been licking my wounds.

Well now I'm back, I've been working on a basic design type set as part of a pcgs registry and out of 20 coins (all fit into a single slab box nicely) I only need 4 more. The four that are left aren't going to be all that hard or exciting to find I just need to wait for the right ones and it'll give me something to focus on and enjoy while I heal.

Anyway, glad to be back. tdog

My type set is my #1 collection.
The thought behind it was to be able to set it down in front of a non-collector and show them what US coins looked like through time.

I based mine on a cross between the NGC Registry type set (with a slight augmentation from the Red Book).
I prefer the NGC Registry set because it accepts both NGC and PCGS coins.
    That helps in two ways:
-- it saves a bit of money not having to cross over from NGC to PCGS, or
-- I don't have to wait for the right coin to show up in a PCGS slab.

Sit back, add coins to it when you can and let it grow.
