    Hi Group

Just as a tribute to my on going interest for Septimius Severus :

A bold portrait with a Nike countermark ( first time to get one like this )

Another one with a Temple in a 3D View :

I will add other pics later and put also some statistics regarding my new interest in US Coins :smile

    Cheers

Very nice coin, never seen that type before with the reverse. I mainly collect the silvers when it comes to ancients.

You'd get more replies if you posted this in the world/ancient forum :)

i have 3 ancient coins. i have one from 343 bc. its my most favorite coin in my whole collection. i think i like it mainly because you never know who had the coin. just the mystery is is the best part about it.

    Hi

You are right, this coin is not in very good shape..but it is old
Actually it is quite scarce and a nice one would hit maybe 4 digits
It is particularly sought after by ancients collector due to the perspective depiction of the temple of Helios in Beyrouth
It dates back from the reign of Septimius Severus, i.e. between 193 and 211 AD

    Cheers
