    Well, I have finally devoted myself to collecting coins. It's no longer just a small hobby.

    My collection is still very small. If I recall correctly, I have coins from 21 different countries (103 different types) and 145 total. I hope to at least double my collection in the next few months.

    Since I am low on money, I will be focusing on hunting rolls of pennies and sorting through them to find some wheaties, steelies, etc. I still have to research some more on what else makes a penny special.

    Here are my goals for the next month:

    ** Purchase 2x2 Cardboard Holders for my coins.
    * Purchase binder pages to place coins into.
    ** Focus on my US coin collection.
    * Current Silver Quarters Owned: 4. Goal>10
    ** Current Mercury Dimes Owned: 2. Goal>5
    * Current Indian Head Pennies Owned: 2. Goal>5
    ** Finish my State Quarter Set (Nearly 75% done at the moment).
    * Research, Research, Research!

    [[ I currently own at least one coin from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Barbados, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany (Nazi Era, and Federal), Haiti, Hungary, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Philippines, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay ]] Hope to add much more ASAP!

    If you have any comments, or suggestions for me--I will be more than happy to hear them!

    Hello Jaylee:

    I usually buy 5 or 6 rolls of pennies and about the same for nickels, a couple of rolls of halfs and once in a while quarters. I find some great stuff and the stuff that isn't collectable I put into my jar and bring them to the bank and start over.

    Enjoy it. Nothing Like finding those silver nickels or the occasional wheatie or very rarely an indian (once for me). Feel lots more of an accomplishment when I find it for face value than paying 100 time the face.

    Take care,
