I have been reading about the First Strikes and was wondering if I should invest in a Silver Eagle First Strike proof 70. I personally think the price will go down on these coins after a year or hype. What do you guys think? I also think the pricing is kind of rediculous maybe I should just invest in a 1885 or 1886 liberty nickel.

    Scotty:
    BUY THE 1885 & 1886 V-Nickels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Punt the others.
    Case closed.
    That one was easy.
Sorry guys, but I am tired of these over hyped coins. Like a 1927 Lincoln cent that is about $5 in MS-63 and in MS-67 red is $32,000,000 or some such silliness.
When the bublle bursts, and it will (historically: Google: Holland and Tulip Blubs!) these over hyped condition rarities will be the first to explode (or implode.)
I hope that I didn't offend anyone, but that is the way that I feel.
By the way anyone want to buy an MS-70 tulip bulb?
