I don't know what to do with all the wheat pennies I bough! takes too much time selling them one by one and i don't sell on ebay anymore because of there fees. I have pennies from 1904-1958 around 25 lb's with a few key dats like the 1914d , 1912s, 1909vdb in mint so many to list.. what should i do?
if you dont want to pay fees or sell them one at a time, take them to a coin dealer and sell to him. I would hope no one would be silly enough to buy them sight unseen from you over the internet.
But I have a selling ratting great on ebay. And Guess there are bad People Out there But being A USMC Back in 1990-96. I have trust in my self. Ebay shut me out because me and my wife both had a ebay.. bankshardwood1980 look it up I would even let people come to my house in chesterfield mo to look over the coins. no scam!
The best solution would be to sell them in affordable lots back onto eBay. Yes you will have to pay the fee's but there is no easy way around it. Even auctions charge you for that privilege. The better coins you could take to a dealer, or with you to some large shows, and see if you get interest. Remember, you will get wholesale prices there, not retail. If you weren't in it for the long haul to sell the copper one day, you should have diversified. Now you are in a situation which offers no advantage.
Thanks well I am only wanting one coin that's why i buy them. 1955/1955.. and it's for a older guy that got robbed .. so I want to give him one back. he remembers when his mother kept the coin in a coin jar on the dinning room table. and for some reason it got to me and I flt like i would try to help him out.. And he said he only has like 1000.00 bucks for the coin. but it's not about the money. It's about giving something to someone to make there life complete.. Hope you understand ..
Since the double die was going to be gifted to someone, perhaps just finding the coin at a dealer and making up the difference with your gentleman, would have been faster and cheaper. Of course that's hind site and doesn't help you out of your current problem. I think your options are as listed and it's going to be a crap shoot whether you recover all your expenses involved. Did you find it or have you given up the search?
no going to sell more coins today a guys coming buy to buy 16 lbs of wheat pennies for 200.00 and i will Buy more pennies from Vagas. I think i can by 35lb's and i will keep looking.
I need clarification on this... what do you mean by "eBay shut me out"? Users can have multiple ID's on eBay, and there never was a "bankshardwood1980" registered. If you have some key dates in "mint" condition, those could be sold on the 'Bay for a tidy profit (especially if you get 'em into plastic).
this guy is telling storys. IMO, probably trying to set up a scam here on cointalk. He says in his first post he doesn't use Ebay because of the fees, then he says he was banned from Ebay, then he talks about his dream of helping some "old guy who was robbed of a coin and kept his mother in a jar"
well i am signed in ebay now here's one of the coins i sold , look up 171062368339 and I thought it was 1980 but it's bankshardwood .
I would divide them up into 1000 coin bags and sell them that way. You should get about $50 for each bag at current market prices. Don't call them "unsearched" or people will know you're full of hot air.
Their 100th of groups you could donate them!!! Girls + Boys Clubs etc V.A. hospital is were I sent a 50pound one. You can take a tax write off with or without paper work.
