Hey Bing try and take a picture of it in your hand. I am curious what this coin looks like in other lighting. My Tyre shekel kind of has this look to it.(It was sold to me from a very reputable dealer with many years of dealing with ancients) It looks similar in that it had a really think patina, and a long while ago someone partially cleaned the coin, probably with abrasive chemicals and scrubbing, then the coin toned over.
I was issued a full refund including shipping costs today; however, I did mail the coin back to the seller so I am out the $6 it cost me to send. Thanks again for all the input.
Well, I've been known to buy coins at this $6 price point, but I'm happy not to have a fake hanging around. All in all, things worked out fine. I have since purchased three VERY nice coins from reputable dealers/collectors so there is very little, if any, doubt. I can't wait to post them. Thanks again for all the support.
