I just put mine in a zip lock bag and then into a plastic food container with a snap lid. I throw a few new cents into it for corrosion protection. If the choice is of the two, square stackable.

Does the zinc help protect silver?

would this be smart for American Silver Eagles in a mint tube?

Its the 100 % copper cladding on the cent. More reactive than silver when new or scrubbed cents are used. Replace when they get brownish. I like my bullion to tone. If it looks good, easier to sell. If it is ugly, dip it :)

I use square ones because they're easier to store, but I do have a few round ones because I love seeing silver rims :)

I get used round tubes from the LCS. he has 2 big boxes of hundreds of them. .10-.15 each, I'm cheap and it's only junk silver.
