This is my latest pick up on eBay. I think I did pretty good for the price. I did the best I could with the lighting. The coin in hand has excellent luster.

On the one obverse picture on the lower left of the chin, you can see a slight finger print. Would this be worth giving it an acetone dip or should I leave it?

Looks polished to me. Over-dipped at best.

Appears to have Unc details, though :)

I see no luster at all. I would agree on details unless you're doing something weird with the photography. I would say AU details.

Yeah I guess it's the lighting because in hand it doesn't look dipped or polished at all. I'll work on some better pics.

I put this up for comparison. Is it my photography skills or is the coin over dipped?

Acetone will only remove fingerprints when they are only a few days old. After that you might as well forget it, they are there to stay.

Gotcha, thanks. Does the coin appeared to be over dipped to you as well after the new picture. I think I know the answer, but hey it's how you learn.

It does, but capturing luster in a picture is not an easy task for everybody. If the angle or the lighting is slightly off then even the most lusterous coin is going to look over-dipped in the picture.

Point is, you can't always tell if a coin has luster or not by looking at a picture.

The coin appears over dipped or possibly lightly polished to me. UNC details--cleaned.
