This was given to me by a co-worker to get some information. It is from peru and made in 1981. That is all I know. What is money from peru called? It says 10000 but 10000 what? I told him the value to a collector is not there because of the condition. Am I right? Is there any value in it? Thanks for any information.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

The Sol is (was) the basic unit of currency in Peru.
I don't know much about your note except that 10000 Soles de Oro
translates to 10000 Soles in/of Gold.

It's got a sort of fun Serial Number A2228444M. Some collectors like various strings of numbers that repeat or make certain patterns, even despite condition problems.
