Well this doesn't compare to the 46 wheats in one roll but today was looking through a cent roll and first came upon a 57 D. I am really happy when I just find one wheat cent but not 15 coins away was a 1911 s. Lets just say that this has been my best roll in quite some time!

I just searched $140 in nickel rolls. I found a 38-S in XF/AU, looks very nice for its age. One 44-P war nickel and I also found 16 others from the 40s and 24 from the 50s. This is my first search of nickels and I saved everything from the 30s -50s. I was interested in what other nickel searchers look for and save. Is there anything from the 60s-00s to specifically watch for?

Just found a 1927 indian head nickel in a roll of nickels.

As far as wheat cents.... they are getting quite sparse!

went through 4 rolls of cents yesterday- 1 1957D
i didn't get them at the bank but the lady i worked for had some rolls that were rolled back in 1989. she gave them to me for free. i was kinda dissapointed though. i was expecting indians and such. i also saved all the copper ones. there were also alot of BU 1989 cents too.

Decided to order $1,000 in halves after taking a few months' break, and this is what I found:

    1-Walking Liberty 1943
    2-Ben Franklins 1954 and 1963
    5-90% silver Kennedys 1964
    117-40% silver Kennedys 1965-1969

Which makes them my best boxes ever- not too shabby!

Very nice AgCollector. I just went through $500 and only found 3 40% and a 2004-P. Still no Walkers, but I keep looking.

Thanks! Not sure where you're getting halves, but if it's possible for you, I would suggest visiting as many small-town banks as possible and just buying up all the halves they have (over time, if necessary) as that has consistently produced better results for me than ordering boxes. One bank in Iowa gave me two rolls of solid walking liberties, another bank in Maine gave me three solid rolls of mixed franklins / walking liberties... it doesn't happen often but when it does it makes your day!

You just have to sell silver on the way! Actually I moved mid-summer so it was a one-way trip. Just as well- I had been to every bank within 60 miles, some more than once.

I was fortunate the other day when I got sixty-three 40% Kennedy half dollars from $60 worth of rolls. Like others I get frustrated when the bank doesn't have any rolls when I want them. Sometimes it works out however. A few days ago a Wells Fargo bank had no half dollar rolls, but did have four "large dollars" (IKEs) and two loose half dollars. One of the half dollars was one I needed for a hole in my circulated Kennedy half dollar set.
I've found that bank branches in supermarkets and shopping centers sem to have more half dollar rolls than their stand alone counterparts. Any ideas why?
