I apologize, everyone. It's been a frustrating morning and I was having an issue viewing the BEP website and placing an order. I felt like venting and happen to have this forum open at the time. Embarrassing outburst on my part. Dave, I was trying to order the same set you ordered.
When the set were available to purchase this morning, the Web site was hammered and experiencing numerous time-outs. It took several attempts to finally get my order through.
I logged on to my account at 7:45 and kept refreshing the new 2013 $2 set until the BEP would let me add it to my cart (7:56). I checked out just before 7:59 and by then the BEP Store website had an error message about the server being down.
The sets sold out... I did order one but and I also had trouble with their system... What did upset me was that on their website and on the announcement email it had said it would open at 9am EST. I took note of that assumed that was correct info. Unfortunetly it was not and it released as normal at 8am EST. There is really no excuse for the misinformation and I will use it as a lesson to not trust what they send out and just plan for the normal routine... I am more saddend because I need to get the rest of the #66's:
Thanks Steve! No, I didn't get so lucky as to receive them from the BEP... I got the founding fathers from eBay for $40 and paid a bit more for the double deuce set to someone who joined another forum and offered them to me... (Anyone with #66 serials please contact me) I am glad it worked out well! And don't be alarmed, they didn't have #12...
