My WAG is that you have the "rarest" example - 1978, mintage 672,000, $2 VF to $20 Unc. in the 2007 Krause; even though statistically the most likely date is the 1984, mintage 51,056,000. What's my prize? Edited to add: Next time I'll read the whole post, including title, before responding. It's KM#581, 7g of .650 silver, ASW .1463 oz., mintage 2,051,000, same values as above, ~$2 bullion value.. BTW -What's "weird" about it

Since you knew it was a Portuguese coin it wasn't "weird", to beginner collectors it might look "unusual" as compared to U.S.A. coins. However you piqued my interest with the leadin. Clinker
