I just picked this one up a short time a go which put me in first place for the Series 641 at PCGS, though this note is very common with 20,400,000 printed
The actual grade is rare, as a matter of fact there has only been a total of 9 graded at the 67 level by either PCGS or PMG and this one is the only 68PPQ in population!
I was in negotiations with the previous owner for over 3 years before he finally gave in and decided to sell it though it didnt come cheap, i,am proud to have
    It in my collection.

As i discussed in previous posts you really have to wonder on exact populations since allot were destroyed and to my knowledge there were not any records
Kept, here,s some additional information on this note:

    Series 641

    Area of use: Vietnam

Dare of Issue: August 31, 1965

    Withdrawn: October 21, 1968

Nice to see this note and you back and posting. I know you were in limbo for awhile because of lack to internet access. You always have had the best of the best when it comes to Military Payment Certificates. Congratulations on the 68PPQ!

9/20/1968 Was my 1st day in Vietnam I was given script like this one.
I know 10-20 times if not more we had to change out script as the V.C would counterfeit our script as soon as issued ,at times
. So most of the time we used American green backs.
So this could be a very good one to hold on to.
The Grade too is one of the highest I have seen.

Your right on the money there Jello, the Series 641 $10 is one of the top counterfeited notes for MPC,s and yes the posted example is the highest and only
68 at either PCGS or PMG :)

I thought I was right. As each time we when to beat the bush for 1-2wks. We always had to check S1 to see what money scrip was good.
Hex when I was shoot in my calf I was on light duty and we ran out of good scrip. had to make B&W copy's and add serial numbers.
    V
C  were too good at messing with us anywhere it seamed

There were only five conversions involving MPC during the entire Vietnam conflict:

    1) US dollars to Series 641 on 31 August 1965
    2) Series 641 to Series 661 on 21 October 1968
    3) Series 661 to Series 681 on 11 August 1969
    4) Series 681 to Series 692 on 07 October 1970
    5) Series 692 to US dollars on 01 June 1971 for fractional notes and 15 March 1973 for dollar notes
