Weird coin in glass thing?

It's a medal encased in lucite.

 

What is the medal ?

 

Probably a B. Franklin or Declaration of Independence commemorative from a private mint. IMO, no value.

 

look online, popular artist, Frank Menconi, google , lots of info.

 

Many coins were set in lucite back in the 60s and 70s. People did it as a hobby and for advertising items.
