2022 Lincoln Obv (ear)

    Hi all. On this 2022 (zincoln) I THINK I am seeing part of an ear lobe. I have an arrow marked on one photo. Thanks all!

    Pam, I believe it is a plating issue. The die is hubbed using a single squeeze method. If there is a judder or vibration during the squeeze you get a slightly doubled die with the doubling observed mainly toward the centre of the coin. If the die moved during hubbing as much as you indicate, then surely there would be highly visible doubling all over, my opinion.
