Hey all, long time/no post.. Hope you've all been well. I've been away from the forum for a bit but I've still been poking around at the LCS and EBay adding bits and pieces here and there.. Not much of a Roosevelt Gut, but I think I did okay on this. I'm awful at taking pictures, so you'll have to forgive me a bit. It's a 1953 Roosevelt Proof. Pretty rainbow toning from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock. Light toning on the back. Full Torch(duh, it's a proof). The LCS is going to submit it to NGC for me the next time they get a batch ready for submission. Again, I'm not much of a Roosevelt guy, but I'm thinking something like PF66? Your thoughts? Again, I hope you've all been well. I hope to be more active now that I've gotten some things straightened out. Thank you in advance for your input.
As evidenced by the title of the topic, that wasn't the sole purpose for the post. My apologies, though, for deeply offending you two with my awful camera skills.
Erik, you're not offending anyone. I know you can do better with those pics. Now get to it old sport.......
Simple fact is it is almost impossible to grade coins from images even with great images. With the ones you put up I can till they are silver dimes and worth about the melt value that tanked this week so unless they have something else going for them you probably did as good on them as I did on the SAE's I bought on Monday of last week and by the time I got them on Friday lost 25% of their value.
Understood about the grading. But, no. Mintages for proof Roosevelt dimes in the 50's make this slightly more desirable than your silver eagle, in my humble opinion. Sorry about your bad luck though.
