Anyone collect any of the Pre-Columbian Coin Series minted in the early 1990's? Some of the coins are stunning, especially the proofs. I own a couple including one of these Brasero Efigie coins which may or may not be quite so beautiful, but they are unique and they are definitely collectible. Here's a pic, not of mine but just so you can see. I also have a Chaac-Mool 1/4oz size, here's a proof but not mine and only the obverse. These are now going for fairly good prices but they're not cheap by any means. With silver at bargain basement prices and all, many coins are still commanding deep pocket prices . Anyone have any new foreign silver to show us?
I was able to buy all the UNC 1 oz coins for whole Pre Columbian series including the one you are showing here They are indeed beautiful coins!!! Luckily silver was a lot less expensive then so it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to buy them. Unfortunately the dealer did not have any of the proof versions, the larger 5 oz coins, and the gold coins were out of my price range!!!
