Hmm, "General Discussion" can be accessed by any member, but yes, it is an "opt-in" thing. See here: http://www.cointalk.com/profile.php?do=editusergroups According to the description, General Discussion is "For off-topic discussion not including politics, religion and world events." Your art project topics (the one that is in GD, and this one) are kind of in between, I think, as the Silver Eagle coin is part of the project. But have a look at GD - it's like a lounge.
