A nice free gift from PCGS

I was just snapping some images of the coin in the slab and noticed this wonderful gift from PCGS.
A curly whirly strand of hair inside.

That's one of the things I like about PCGS, they are always giving back to the coin community.

 

At least you did not get the PCGS fingerprints on your coin.

 

Wow... Way to Go PCGS. You should call and complain.. Maybe they will give you a grade higher, free submission, or something! Tell them you'll remove it from the slab for them

 

Tell people it's a strand of Lincoln's hair and you paid a fortune for the package. Should do very well on eBay.:yes:

I'd keep it until PCGS comes along and offers some exorbitant sum of dosh to buy it back and take that failure out of circulation.

I would sell it as a David Hall PF70 piece personally.

 

Fact is, I know a few guys who could use that hair Greg..........

 

Right now, all I collect is empty moving boxes, and lots of packing paper. Think there's a market for that??

 

So now extract the DNA and let's make our own grader

If old age means anything, I'm sure the grader is more annoyed about that loose hair than you are :devil:

 

It looks good to me. Of course, I'm no expert. It's slabbed by a major TPG, though, so one would think it's NH.

 

Is it naturally toned hair, or artificially toned hair? Market acceptability wants to know.

 

Mine came back with a scratch in one of the fields... so go figure.

 

Their way of saying you missed the next higher grade by a ................ smidgen.
