Don't leave. I felt the same way when I first started. So I took this approach: Just like "innocent until proven guilty," I say "MD until proven DD." I decided to purchase a cheap USB microscope so I could provide adequate photos to get correct answers. If you can really zoom up on what you are seeing, these guys can help you a ton. I am living proof. It has taken me close to a year, but I feel like I can tell a doubled die when I see it now. The Class VI doubled dies are still a little tricky, but when there is separation I can tell the difference. Just stick around. 99% of the folks on here are very helpful. I have learned a tremendous amount about errors and varieties from these guys. I owe them all the thanks in the world.
I love your quote from LS!! I feel a little mislead over the dime. I couldn't see it well and I could barely see the doubling on dime. Oh well C'est la vi. And so is life.
This King Nothing quickly deleted his post where he linked to the Heritage auction that he ripped these copyrighted images from. He made a post earlier that he was testing us. He then deleted that post. He also failed to show the crucial image that was posted on Heritage which clearly showed the doubled die. Here's a link to where he stole the photos. http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=460&lotIdNo=31002#29932993333 Why are you leaving King Nothing? Or is it doubledie[sic] king?
