Nice to finally have a decent 39-D in my collection.. Picked this guy up just recently. Too bad the obverse would keep it from a 67 most likely, would have been a nice jump in price from 66-67. reverse is very attractive.
1964-D Washington Quarter (PCGS MS66). Thanks goes out to gbroke for selling this one to me. The final year of silver business-strike Washington's went out with a bang with this example. I love the full rainbow on the reverse -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet -- the full spectrum is there and that's a rarity.
Recently I have been working hard at trying to image coins. I stubled across a plan for an axial lighting box on another forum and figured I would give it a shot. I built the boz out of white foam board so that I could get the best lighting for my coins. I also came across a set of plans to build a photo stand. In a matter of a day I had my very own home built axial lighting box and photostand. "I thought to myself now I got it" Boy was I wrong lol. So I am still struggling with my images but I think largly in part to the camara I am using. The macros on it is just not that great. Well now that I have run on about my issues here are to images of the same coin that I bought today. Let me know what you think as I can use the help of you great photographer out there This one is using a 29w Reveal Light bulb This one is a 53w Reveal Light bulb. Curently I am looking for a better light bulb if anyone has some advise that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.
Another purchase I made today. This is my first Bust Half. Picked her up for $50. A dollar per cent I think I could handle that. Unfortinatly it is marred on the obv next to her face.
