Well my mom decided to save about $400 in consecutive $2 dollars bills. All are series 2003 A, are they worth a premium?
Maybe a small premium. You might be able to get $420 from an interested buyer. But after auction and payment processing fees, you won't make any profit. They might be worth a little more in a decade or two. But you'd earn more interest putting that money into a CD or a some bonds.
Funkee has it right...get yourself (or your mom) a 20 month CD with all those. That way in March of 2015 you can attend the ANA National Currency Show in Portland,OR. The interest gained over that time should cover the admission cost of $2. :thumb:
My father in the law did the same thing saved over $1,000 in $2.00 bills and like your,s most were consecutive we actually found Them in a envelope taped to the underside of the drawer two years after he passed, but the rarity value is just not there
