    Its been a while since I had a new Lincoln to post!

    I picked this new 1918 NGC MS 65 RB CAC in an old fatty holder up on eBay as an upgrade to my set putting my older 64 out in the duplicate pile. Full RED on the obverse with the reverse noticeably darker making it a coin I will probably replace someday for "THE" coin in this date that matches better on both sides. After all, a 65 is actually a pretty rough coin right? Ha ha

    I must say I'm basically pleased with my set and I'm just looking to edge out the last 64s from the collection (22-D wont be too bad with a 64 red to sell, but the 26-S in 5 will be a big gulp) and get some dates in certain color designations that I prefer. I've noticed lately that its tough to find new material right now in this series. Mostly I'm just glad I bought most of my coins at yesterdays prices and looking at where prices are going I guess I'm a little spoiled, or is that what happens when you hit your first ten years in the hobby? I have so much time and money tied up in this set that it almost seems foolish to keep up with the behavior. My heart should most certainly be fulfilled with my choices as they stand, but I'm still drawn to find perfection where it may never be found. I think my problem is between my ears!!! I'm sure it is a common coin collecting dilemma. All I know is I'm glad I have them and take joy knowing they are around and whenever I want I take pleasure running a box or two.....Oh Yeah!

    I just received this coin in the mail today from a fellow collector. He was selling part of his collection and I could not pass it up. It is a NGC 1966 SMS PF MS69RD Lincoln Memorial with a population of 1. i hope the steps show up on this one as they are outstanding

    Jello;

    I don't see any evidence of a re-punched mint mark in the photograph of the 1956 D Cent you posted. Are there various & multiple re-punched mint marks for this particular year & mint?

    The most brassy brass plated cent I've ever plucked out of a $25 box while roll searching.
