So here is one of my new pieces- A 1835 capped bust quarter B-6 R.4.

It has really cool die cracks , a great strike & a plum color- (even though Im not too sure on the color,I think it is artificial)

Do you think I will be able to get AU58 on the grade ? If so it will be one of two of the highest graded by NGC. Anything over that would make it Top Pop.

It may have to go to NCS , Im not to sure on the color but Ill find out soon enough.

Here are a couple of different pictures & scans.
    You can compare HERE

The first 2 pictures are the ones that were used to sell the coin to me
The Second 2 pictures are my Scans
& the 5th picture is a digital photo

    Quite a differance -

    Thanks for any opinions-

Lovely example. AU-58 might be a reach, but still an AU coin though in my book. Really Really Beautiful :)

What a great coin and it shows just ho goofy that Eagle was. What did they use to see Eagles with in those days, Disney Goofy glasses.

What a differnece a photo makes.
In the first two I was sure of AT, now ?
Nice coin, should get an AU, but, are you sure that it wasn't cleaned?
The last photo looks a little 'funky'.

Nice pickup. That variety is a lot tougher to find than people recognize. Definitely an R4 IMO.

Looks AU-53 to me. Lovely all the way.

I'd put the grade at XF45, possibly AU50. I would also say that the coin has been cleaned.

XF-45 and I think it will bodybag.

I'm going to guess AU50. Those are some stellar die cracks. Very nice coin

Judging from the photos, it looks AT and cleaned, I doubt this coin will make it into a NGC holder, but stranger things have happened and I certainly hope I'm wrong...Mike
