I have a 1963 RCM bag that I still use for storing coins I take back to the bank - curiously RCM shipped their cents out in $60 bags - not $50 like in the USA. Those large old linen bags are great for big coin hauls.

Nice bag Maggie! I wish I had them to sort through. I'd say that most of them look red.

another quick question. how many coins were put in these bags? does anyone know. if the majority are red maybe i can get 2.00 each for them,, take a while to sell them i think

    ~15lbs; it was likely a $20 bag of 1 cent(2,000 cents) (1963 1 cent weighs about 3.24gr so a $20 bag would be 6,480gr or about 14.3lbs)

    Maggie,

Over on Ebay it's been hit or miss with these. I've seen them sell for as little as $3 a roll up to $10 a roll. That's definitely how you would want to sell them. Unfortunately, they're not even selling for $.99 as single coins.
