Thanks, this particular empress had an interesting end to her life, but most romans did. You can google her name to read about her. Makes the coin better actually.
Winged Liberty; That 1962 1C MS68 BN is breathtaking! I love toned copper coins, especially monster toned proof cents! Congratulations on the awesome grade!
Paul 62; That has to be the most gorgeous monster toned Franklin Half Dollar I have ever laid my eyes upon! Do you know if it is natural toning? It looks like an artist went wild with his palette!
CoinCzar, thank you so much. I just got the slab back in the mail on Friday. Sure looks cool in-hand.
You have a monster toner there Winged Liberty! I'm green with envy. If you ever have the desire to part with it, please give me a chance to buy it from you first! Excellent find!
I have to admit that I'm not really sure. I don't know enough about toning to say one way or another. I do like it, when I saw it on ebay I bid on it (I sniped it actually) thinking maybe I will or maybe I won't get it. I have it now and it looks pretty fine in my half dollar album...
The final one needed for my proof Franklin series. Got this one tonight, and it is a pretty nice greenie beanie:
Angelo, that is a beauty, the condition is just amazing and to get it for free is even more amazing Congrats my friend...Alan
Thanks Alan!!!! I just got the mail for today and my 1920 1Anna made here too!! A lot lower grade. «©»
