So I purchased a whole bunch of coins today and I was going through them and I can not seem to find any information of two of the coins. Well I take that back I've found some information, but I wanting to determine what their values are and it is there that I am failing to find info. Here are some pictures and any help is welcomed because I am just at a lost. I have no idea what they are worth
well the first one is a netherlands 1 gulden coin, i did not find the exact same one (all the ones i saw have a shield on the back) so i am assuming it is pretty rare, the second is a marie antoinette coin that looks to be just a commemorative, probably holed to be worn as jewelry is my assumption, i know it probably doesn't help much but it may help a little
No, the first is from Bavaria. It has a mintage of 366,000 and silver content of .3067. The catalog I have values it at $10 F, $20 VF.

The Krause catalog for 1801-1900. If you aren't familiar with it, it is the industry standard for foreign coins. If you are going to try to collect foreign it is worth it to get a copy. But for something like this, Google is your friend too. I looked up Maximilian and Bayern and that told me it was from Bavaria, so I knew where to look.

This is the Krause catalog. My latest copy is a couple years old. I bought it used for very little money.
For any world coin, these should be the go to books. Not comprehensive, but their numbers are used by everyone and lists most things. A world collector without KM books is pretty lost IMO. Like Collect89 did, be smart and buy slightly older used copies. What you want it the information and numbering, not necessarily the current "catalog value". Heck, my 17th century edition is over 10 years old and I do not care. Hopefully there has not been a lot of "new" issues they have found recently.
