if i thought i had an 83 p au or better would it be a good idea to get it graded? same for the 82 p&d and 83 d. ty
On the bay slabbed 83p 64's are selling for an average of $40-$50 with 65's @ $50-$75. IMO $50 is a frickin bargain for a slabbed 65.
Indeed, but the cost of getting such coins slabbed and graded would greatly denude any worthy justification for doing do. Only in the higher echelons are these coins worthy of being considered for encapsulation. My advice to OP is to save your money and spend it wisely elsewhere.........
i once bought a beautiful gem 82 p half dollar at a show for 6 bucks, sent it along in a submission to ngc and it came back ms67:smile. with a population of less than 4 it was a nice treat.
if it has minimal marks on the cheek neck and fields and has a little natural color grade it- it is unlikely that you have such a coin though
I am with Green on this - unless you are good at grading and now they will come back with a high grade, then save your money.
