Somethings not sitting right with me (as in genuine)
and it does show what looks to be wear but may be the over exposure of the picture

Yeah, looks off to me too and, although it looks like a great strike, it’s not matching up to pics of a genuine one.

I'm not seeing any problem with it. Looks FH.

I was able to bring the highlights down with software. The face now shows what appears to be a small X on it. Any other thoughts on value? $T2eC16hHJGsFFMnUlrvGBRrpFvSjZw~~60_57.jpg $(KGrHqJ,!qIFEkc1q6!BBRrpFsUyPg~~60_57-2.jpg

The original photo looks as if it was airbrushed... the second set is much better. Still, something just doesn't seem right to me.

Give me your thoughts on it.
I am seeing an X on the cheek, a line across the breast,a mark in the field above the drape at the elbow, a cut in the shield, marks from the ankle to the knee area and a line in the drape near the breast.

The blobs on on the N G D on IN GOD the Trvst looks doubled on VST, the blob above her right shoulder, the crease of here gown on her right leg looks to far left. and looks to be high relief like a medal.

Here is another coin. You will see that your observations are not correct on the gown and the blobs. $(KGrHqRHJEMFGTSHZ!HcBRqQVv2tWg~~60_12.JPG

Gooch, the blobs are different on the GS coin. You asked for opinions and I'm giving you mine, whether you like it or not. Am I a professional grader no, do I specialize in SLQ's? No .

If you want the coin buy it, I wouldn't touch it but thats me.

At first glance I thought it was just an exceptional strike, but after comparing the gown folds, they appear to be way too accentuated on your coin. Of particular note is the portion of the gown that extends from Liberty’s left breast to her right hand – note how the top fold extends further toward her right hand than the lower fold and it ends at a blob – it does not on the Go coin or any others I’ve compared. The head, eye and nose do not look right, as well as the lettering. Note the B in LIBERTY, as well as other lettering, are sloppy. And yes, the blob on the G is not right and does not appear so much as a blob on a coin in hand.

If you bought it (or want to buy it) from Great Southern Coins, they are legit seller, so I bet its problem free (legit). RedBook says $275 (MS60), $350 (MS63), and based on these pics I doubt your any less than a MS63. Personally, I prefer this more current market guide http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/pricesms/stdqtr/prices61.shtml.

If you were to buy one, I would be careful around Great Southern Coin. I have heard many stories of receiving coins only to find them cleaned, over-dipped, etc...they make the coins looks a lot better on their pictures than they do in-hand.
Sorry, I'm not an expert on Standing Liberty Quarters, but something does look a little off in the first set of pictures.

Yeah that coin looks either lightly cleaned or dip fried to me. UNC details cleaned.

LOL, that may be a rare one! Yeah, fairly decent counterfeit at first glance. Can you tell us who owns it?
