Recently purchased this lovely coin, after much research, and I think with these early halves I might have found my dream coin.
[IMG][IMG]I hope I didn't pay too much at 65. Its a lovely coin, and the only problem I see is the scar on the reverse. Grade/Value??

I bought this coin because the toning combination (which you might not be able to see) and that it was well in my budget, and I felt likethis coin was calling me saying "xGAJx! Take me home! You know you want too!"

Edit: Please disregard my title of 1930. it is 1830.

At $65 you can't get hurt.

But, for some reason I can't enlarge it to be able to id the variety.

New set of pictures. The previous ones don't give this coin justice.

Is that mark on the reverse a lamination? I can't tell from the photo.

It looks like there are a lot of scratches on your coin, and a small gash on Liberty's shoulder. I can't tell whether the reverse dig is lamination or just plain old damage, but there appear to be lots of hairline scratches near it that would indicate a harsh cleaning at one time or another. It shows VF details, but I think the coin's issues would probably knock the grade down a bit.
