ok so this question arises in my mind every once in a while . and I've come to this conclusion , besides donating them to the local recycling bin or shredding them for packaging filler. or giving them to some random kid.. the wife get mad when she sees them just sitting there collecting dust.. so what do you do with your old coin Magazines?? I personal clipped out and taken the most important articles that I felt were relevant like anything on counterfeits , die errors, double dies, die varieties and then organized them by month and year into 3 binders then I always have them as a reference...I have 3-4 volumes now..
If you have clipped out articles, I would just recycle them and make your wife happy. Happy wife = Happy life TC
You could drop a few off at some local doctor waiting rooms. Just make sure you clip off your addy.........
Ask for a divorce. Just kidding. I usually go through my magazines every month and set aside the ones I don't want anymore. I either store them in my basement (out of sight, out of mind) or I recycle them if they are in really poor condition.
I go to the beach a lot and I recycle by taking them to the condo and leaving them in the lobby. It doesn't take long for them to disappear.
give them to your local library. I know many young wannabe numismatics out there would love to look at these.
as of today I have gotten time to go through about a whole years worth of magazines, as collectors we have had some great things happen, keep watching for counterfiets
Library is close second to me. My best advice is to bring them to your local coin club to let those who don't have subscriptions to these benefit. If no nearby coin club, then the closest coin show. Just ask the organizer if you can set them out for free on a table outside the room.
