I was born in 1973, so I hold onto very nice examples of money from that year. I happened to find this very nice and quite shiny 1973 penny in circulation. It's not rare or anything, but to find a 40 year old penny in this kind of shape is unusual. The pictures don't give the coin justice.

Correct... there's a ton of 'em out there, cashed in after spending years in someone's piggy bank. I thought finding 1950's AU wheaties in circulation was uncommon until I came across a few and posted 'em here. I was told the same thing!
