My sister moved into her new house (which was quite a mess). The previous owner left behind a tray full of pennies and a few other coins. 50 cenavos, 5 pfennig, a coin from spain, 20 cents (hong kong), and two identical coins which i cannot figure out where they are from. One side features Queen Elizabeth II while the other side has some sort of coat of arms (thats what it looks like to me) and says "one penny" circling the outter part of the side. Below the "coat of arms" it has a 1. I appoligized for the poor photos.. I am still trying to work out how to take decent pictures.

This is a British coin.It is the 1p. coin that was issued between 1985 & 1997.The portrait is of Queen Elizabeth II (reigned since 1952),who is also my monarch.

Joel, although they were very blurry,I could make out the detail of the crowned portcullis & the denomination. It is a coin I see often, even though I am 12,000 miles away in New Zealand.
