Check this out. Is there any one in Canada that can verify if there is scent or no scent? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-national-bank-says-notes-fragrance-free.html

One more, from a Canadian source: http://www2.macleans.ca/2013/05/26/...da-about-maple-syrup-smell-on-new-bank-notes/
I will be in BC and Alberta in July. I will have to get one of these new notes and check it out for myself.
Yeah, it's true. We've been busted. Canadian money smells like maple syrup, but all Canadians know that it's strongest in the spring, when the sap is running in the money trees. We boil them to get concentrated money sap, which we then sell as maple-scented gold bars.
The sweet smell of money.......so what's not to like? I'd be more worried about the Norwegians invading.
