The plastic rectangle type ones at sporting good stores are nice. When they turn pink you just plug them in to a wall outlet overnight. This one is labeled Remington but there are a lot that look exactly the same with different labels. 599066.jpg Costco had a decent Chinese Winchester 4 cubic foot safe a while back for $300. All steel and seemed sturdy enough. I keep two of the desiccant dealies in there and a hygrometer and it's about 40% humidity. Not the most secure safe in the world but it would be pretty obvious if someone tried to cart it off - it's about 200 pounds. All the good stuff goes to the SDB anyway. Which makes me think I'll check the humidity in the SDB the next time I visit.

Sentry safes are not a good safe for collectibles, they use a wet plaster type of fire insulation. It causes moisture build up.

This stack on safe is $450 shipped. May not be a fort knox as far as security, but it's made MUCH better than the sentry safe.

To give you an idea of how flimsy the sentry safes are..I got one at an auction for a dollar cuz it was locked and no one had the they. I had it cut open with a axe in about 2 minutes.

I would be careful of Stack-On as well. Same quality as Sentry. They just look better.

Simple solution, place the coins in a ziploc bag then into the safe.......

Personally, I,d throw away the contaminated boxes. Mold spores are nasty and remain active along, long time . A thorough decontamination is in order IMO. GOOD LUCK
